Ted Caffarel

In our walk through life we meet many people, but there are few who you develop a life friendship with. Ted was that for me and no matter how much time passed when we saw each other we picked up right where we left off. We had great times working out, hunting, skiing, just hangin out and talking about raising children. There is a void in my heart that won't be filled.
To the loving family and Nuria, you are in our prayers.

To the Caffarel family,
I have known Ted for about 25 years, since Ted's brother, James, married my sister, Carol. Ted has always been a true friend and a real giver of his time and attention to others. He was comfortable befriending a kid, as he did with my two sons. He went out of his way to show respect and to communicate with people of his parents' generation, as he did with Carol's and my mom and dad. Ted and his siblings, James and Sandi are very solid tributes to the family values of their fine parents, Earline and TJ. A couple of months ago in Greensboro at James and Carol's house is the last time I saw Ted. He was in his element, laughing with all of us and cooking Cajun food with James. After dinner, James and Ted were making homemade praline cookies, which takes a lot of time and attention to be sure they turn out like Earline had shown the kids how to make pralines.Ted will be missed, but he is one of those rare individuals we are fortunate enough to meet that will stay in the hearts and minds of many of us forever.God Bless you Ted and may God be with the Caffarel family and Ted's many friends. As Ted's cousin, I always enjoyed being with him, his grandkids, and, especially, his mother, his sister, and his brother and their families. He was so special. God bless him and welcome him into heaven. He was always doing something for someone else. He will be greatly missed by so many. He touched so many lives. His family is certainly in my prayers.

Miss Earline Jerry really enjoyed working with him In restoring your garage just recently. He loved you so much & spoke of his families & life with all of you. What a great son. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. I have fond memories of Ted from White Castle High and am so glad we got to visit at the class reunion in October. God bless you,

The rare thing about Ted is that after a vociferous disagreement, he still loved you. We had many occasions to put that into practice.
When my daughter had been ill for a long time Ted brought her dozens of roses. He didn't send them, he brought them and it made a big difference to her.
Just make sure you know The Lord Jesus Christ and He knows you (agree with God that His Son died on your behalf, to eliminate your sins and rose from the dead) and you'll see Ted again and forever. That's the consolation that lasts!

I am still in disbelief, he called me just last week. We joked about getting together in Durango.
I met Ted at a Bayfield Town Hall meeting almost 6 years ago. We worked together and became good friends, had a lot of laughs and as he would say "got all chaucktah!". I will miss him greatly.
My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and many friends.

We are so very sorry for your tremendous loss. Ted was a great friend, a terrific cook, and he truly loved living life to its fullest. We have and treasure fond memories of great times with the Caffarel family. We are comforted to know that Ted was a believer and is now in the presence of the Lord. We pray that God will comfort you and bless you through this time of precious need.
