My heart is saddened by Ted's tragic death. Whenever Ted would visit his parent's next door on Adam's Drive, he would light up the room. I always thought he was one of funniest men I knew. So wity! Ms Earline, Wade, Sandi, James and Carol, I am truly sorry for your loss. The Lord will comfort you!

Dear Ms. Earline, Sandi and family, I was saddened to hear of Ted's untimely and tragic death. The wonderful thing about growing up in WC when we did was the close freindship we shared with so many people. Freindships make memories and I certainly have those of Ted. Reading about his life described his boyhood ..he just grew up and took on bigger topics. Ted was a good friend, fun and adventurous. You would want to pop him in one moment and hug him in the next. I never had the opportunity to meet his children but my prayers are with his entire family at this time. He lived a BIG life! Love, Vicky

To the Family,
I opened the Durango Herald today and was saddened to see the obituary for Ted. I'm so sorry for your loss and to all f you who knew Ted closely. I first met Ted while working on the Mesa Meadows project in Bayfield as my brother Jim was the Engineer and I helped with surveying. I always enjoyed it when Ted would come into the office. Conversation was always stimulating, whether I agreed with him or not. He had a zest for life that was inspiring and contagious.
Later on I began to see Ted at the Baptist church I go to in Durango. He wouldn't let you walk by without a handshake and a smile. A good man with a good heart. He's probably telling jokes right now to anybody who will listen, wanting them to feel good about themselves and their day. I'm glad I got to meet the man on earth and believe there will be a reunion in Heaven someday, God willing.
How does the saying go? Missed, but not forgotten...
May God bring the comfort that only He can during this time.
Ken Flint

I am sorry about the death of Ted and remember him in WC with the Mury guys on Adams drive. He seemed to have lived life to the full and remember him as a football player in high school. I moved away from WC in 1988, but it all can seem like yesterday when someone you remeber dies. My dad did these planes in the early 60's and I did not know that Ted was a pilot. My wife plays all the concents at Julia Rogers in Beaumont and I hope to see someone in the family by chance one day. In the meantime, my regards to a good man's family. Tell James and Miss Earline hello. Randy Naquin. I do remember Sandra too; although I was a bit younger (James age).
