Dear Aunt Toni Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Gosh, what a life! Rocky could definitely tell stories. Rocky's tales always started serious and would end with a roar of laughter. I will always remember as a little girl the way he would always rub his rough beard on my arm. The Mireles Family was very blessed to have Rocky in their lives! Much love, Diane & Family

"Rocky" ....need I say more? ......... When mom (Aunt Helen) and I moved to Beaumont, we lived next door to Rocky & AuntToni on Long Street. I remember many of nights when a boxing match was on cable; AuntToni & Rocky (bottle of Crown in hand) would walk over. Mom & AuntToni would end up at the kitchen table while Rocky would sit right in front of our TV and I mean almost nose to nose with it, the volume turned up so loud, and there Rocky was with his hands cupping his ears so he could "hear" every word coming from it...all the while trying to hold a conversation with everyone in the kitchen too! AuntToni having to holler and repeat to him what we were saying, shaking her head at him and telling him to turn that TV down. Rocky didn't move from that spot until the last coutdown. That's 1 of many memories I have of Rocky. Even though living on Long St was years ago - I kept up with Rocky and his health through mom and know he was always surrounded by family &friends who loved him. He was not only a brother-in-law but a good friend to mom during a rough time in our lives. And living next door for all those years was simply..."good times!"
Our family has lost a great man! Rocky, you will truly be missed!!

Uncle Rocky had such a long and strong life. He was a great guy to talk to, his mind never seemed to age. I remember his many stories were not only interesting but usually quite amusing! Once on one of his visits to New Mexico, I found him going through all the books in my dad's basement. Where everyone else had long forgotten about those books he found them facinating. He seemed like a man that was at peace with himself. Everytime I saw him throughout the years, he appeared to have a calm and easy spirit that was a joy to know.
May you all take comfort knowing you are in our thoughts and prayers. God Bless, The Louis Rojas family
