To the Chaney and Linscomb families: Our most heartfelt and deepest sympathy is extended to all of you at this most difficult time. We, along with many of Dustin's former LHS classmates and his current friends, are deeply saddened and shocked by the news of this loss of such a fine, friendly, and honorable young man, who was also a most devoted and loving father of his two beautiful girls. We also extend to you our prayers of peace and comfort in the days ahead.. From your former neighbors on Laurie Lane , Laurie and Wayne Thomas

Gloria,

I feel like I have been slugged in the stomach and I can only imagine how you must feel.

Times like this ..do make me question why some of us are left here to go through the motions and others, who have their whole life ahead of them, like Dustin, are taken from us. But we have to hold on to the fact that "God has a plan".

Please, please remember..you have the memories..27 yrs of memories and no one and nothing can take that from you.
When you feel you just can't go on anymore, close you eyes and go to a favorite memory. God and the memories will see you through!! LIVE IN THE MEMORIES!!

I love you, call me if you need me for anything.

Chaney, we will forever miss your presence here at the shop. I looked forward to all your funny Pawnshop post on Facebook. Watching all the guys play XBOX. You stole a piece from our hearts when you left, but we know you are in a better place and no longer suffering. It is going to take eternity to get use to be here without you, but we know you live in our hearts. Love and miss you. Leeann Bertrand and Greg Henderson. LSSP II

To all of the family: Dustin will always be in our hearts. He was an amazing young man and a wonderful father to his sweet girls. We have watched him grow up over the years and all of the wonderful things he has done. Dustin was truly an angel sent from heaven to be with us all. It is so very sad that he was taken from us way before we think he should have been. God apparently needed him home. Dustin will definitly leave behind some awesome memories and a family that loves him dearly. We will all miss him and his beautiful smile. May God comfort you and give you strength during this difficult time. Your extended family & friends love all of you very much.

Kayla-
It was obvious being around you and Chaney how much he loved you and Cole. He was a wonderful father to both his girls, and Cole. Just two weeks ago he was talking about the ring he wanted to buy you and the house you both were buying. Do not ever forget the unconditional love he gave to you and Cole. We are all thankful to have had him in our life for the amount of time we knew him. Trice and I want you to know that we will be here for you any time, day or night. The Millican family can open our arms pretty wide so keep that in mind. We all love you very much and will miss a wonderful Man.

D,

I wish I knew the words to say. From the monster truck rallys, to singing in your mom's living room like Brooks & Dunn, fishing in Crystal Beach, Little League at Candlelight, we grew up together. It was a true Aggie vs Longhorn. Goin to your high school graduation in Lumberton, visiting at A&M. Everything seems so long ago. But i remember them like it were yesterday. I remember the day my mom told me you were going to Iraq. I knew you wanted to serve your country and you did just that. I dont know of another individual that was more proud and determined to defend what he believed in and as a citizen I could never repay you for that. May you rest peacefully. Watch over all of us until we meet again.

The life that I and Dustin had together are forever in my heart. I see him in my memories everyday. This was a second son that I cherished. So loving and so smart. I was so proud when I saw him graduation day in San Diego from Basic training. I was elated to see you become a father. And your and Matt's stories are forever engrained in my mind. You continued to live your life even through the gratest strifes. Even with PTSD and a heart that was giving way, you continued to smile and take care of your family. Two beutiful girls are here for us to share and we thank you for that. I will miss everything we went through, and I will miss that loving smile today and everyday for the rest of my life. I am lucky in that I will continue to hear your stories through the great networking of friends that care so much for you and your sidekick Matt. And everytime I replace a windshield wiper.

Dustin,
Wow, I don't even know where to begin... The selfish nature we all have wants me to ask, "why him, why so young?" but then I realize that you were called to duty, to watch over us. It's hurts to know that such a good friend has been taken from us, but you have stolen a special place in all our hearts, and we are all truley blessed! I have so many good memories of you but the one that sticks out the most is how excited I got when I saw your eyes light up when we found out we were in the same unit on Camp Pendleton! You were an amazing friend and your family will be in my prayers and heart, and I can't wait to see you again some day! Love you Chaney!
Love,
Jamie
