I am so sorry for the loss of Sgt. Hammock. He was my instructor in 1998. I just moved back to Texas and was asking around about him and found out he had passed. He was a good man, a very good instructor. He will be greatly missed by many.

I will never forget him getting out of his little car..... =)

I was so saddened to hear about Bill. I grew up across the street from the Hammocks and went to school with Bill. He was such a nice man and I respected him and his family.

I will always have fond memories of that time. May God bless all of you.

Bill was the only one of Dear LoDee's children that we had not had the pleasure of meeting. We know he had to be an amazing man because of the family of which he was a part. LoDee and Patsy, you have been on our minds so very much. We pray that you are healing and that God has His Mighty Arms around you and is giving you peace. Love to the entire family and especially to our dear friend LoDee.

Bill was one of the first friends I made while competition shooting. We shared many a laugh over the years and while I am saddened by your loss, I'll always remember his smile and friendship. My prayers are with your family and know that God's got him now.

Sarge was a good friend and mentor to all of us lucky enough to have known him. I was saddened to learn of his passing just yesterday. He was one of my instructors in the Jefferson County Sheriff's Correctional Academy back in 1993. We all respected and admired him. I consider myself fortunate that I was able to maintain a friendship with him throughout the years after. Even when a long period of time would pass between seeing him, he would always want to find out how your career was going. He took an active interest in all of his students that way. I was thrilled when he joined the Blue Knights and was a member for several years, because he was always someone that you enjoyed being able to spend time with. I pray that God comforts his family and welcomes Sarge into the loving rest of his open arms.

Hey Buddy,
I miss you so much already. Thanks for the backup in Steamboat Springs. I'll never forget Routt County Road 46 and when you almost ran me off the road...You were a great Field Training Officer..I never had a better friend. I'll see you again one day very soon.
