Dear Sally and family, Thank you for keeping in touch. As you know, J.R. my sister, Helen and I were children together in Rush Springs, Oklahoma but lost track of each other until the GREAT Burleson's Cousins Reunion organized by your dad. We saw him several times after that and enjoyed his dry humor. We are sad for you but happy for him. Love, Pat & Helen

J.R. was a special person. I really enjoyed serving with him during one of his interims at Northwood after he "retired," as well as having him in the congregation. He was a true Christian gentleman.

Sally, We regret to hear of your dad's death. He was a fine minister and very patient with me when I was in high school and college during his days in Arlington and many church camps, etc. I am Johnny Loughridge formerly of First Christian, Arlington and friends of Randall. Several friends from FCC would like to know how to reach him and each of you. Is there an eamil address or phone number that I might make contact? God bless you all as you gather to celebrate your dad's life!

Dear Sal,
Because you told me so many sweet, funny stories about your dad, I felt as if I knew him personally. I do know that you surely inherited his sense of humor!
Know that I am thinking about you and your family.
Love Nelda

Dear Sally and family, It was a wonderful pleasure to be a part of your Dad's last two years. We really enjoyed the many, many hours of visiting at Silsbee Oaks. He is greatly missed by all of us. Dad and Mr. J. were inseperable even to the end. That's the way it should be with best buds. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your family. Sincerely, Ben and Sharon
