I AM VERY SORRY FOR "OUR" LOSS AND WISH I COULD HAVE COME FOR THE FUNERAL.WE HAVE HAD 4 SNOWS IN THE LAST WEEK, AS RECENTLY AS YESTERDAY. WALLACE WAS MORE LIKE A BROTHER TO ME THAN A FIRST COUSIN. WALLACE WAS A VERY SPECIAL PERSON, HE REALLY LOVED EVERYONE AROUND HIM, AND WOULD HELP ANY WAY HE COULD. THINKING BACK, HE ALMOST NEVER SAID A BAD WORD ABOUT ANYONE. HE LOVED TO HUNT AND FISH AND WE DID THAT A LOT. TAKE SOLACE IN THE FACT WE LIVE IN A BETTER WORLD BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE WALLACE.
LOVE AND PRAYERS
AVON HOLLEY
PS IF IT WOULD MEAN ANYTHING TO THE IMMEDIATE FAMILY, I WOULD BE HAPPY TO TELL YOU OF SOME OF THE GREAT TIMES WE HAVE HAD.

Jess & Mary Lou, Bobbie, and All Kids and GrandKids. Our family was so sorry to hear of your loss which is also our loss too. Wallace was a good man and Loved by many. We all will miss him. I am Clifton and Mattie Lou Holley's youngest daughter. My husband and I live in Carroll Springs now, and named our ranch "Holley Hills Ranch", to continue the Holley-Lambright legacy, however we lived, worked, and raised our family for 35 years in Beaumont, TX. before retiring here. While living in there , I would call Wallace and talk to him, we would share alot of old times. I was young when I moved to Beaumont, and always found comfort thinking I had family just down the road in Nederland. As a child growing up in Carroll Springs, every summer Aunt Rena, Wallace and Jessie Lee and their families, would come to the farm for a visit. We were happy to see them, and my Dad, Clifton would always send them back home with a trunk- full of fresh peas, tomatoes, potatoes and of course Watermeleons. That is what families would do in those days, and Daddy would keep that in mind, planting a little extra to share with all the family when they came to visit. He was a Great Farmer.
I was able to remember some of these good times, with Wallace when he visited with us for the Holley-Lambright Family Reunion in 2006. My husband, Jerry took Wallace for a long jeep ride during the reunion, and remembered with him many old familiar places on the land, and was able to show him that, Glenn, Bonnie and I all have homes, and continue to live on the Clifton & Mattie Lou Holley's old farm place. Come to see us.. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Jerry, Carolyn, Kevin and Kelly Knepple and Our Grandkids

I will remember Wallace as a good man, a Mason and someone who loved to hunt and the outdoors.
I also remember him as a man who didn't mind pulling his belt off when Keith and I got out of line, which was quite often.
He almost blew a fuse when they discovered Keith, Kenney, Kay and I in his bedroom closet with a lit candle on top of a shoebox being kids and trying to have a seance. Its a wonder we didn't burn the house down. None of us could sit down for a while after that one.
Rest In Peace Wallace

KayKay, Kristin and family - I am so sorry for the passing of your Dad and Grandad. I know there will be a giant void in all of your lives. I have learned through the years that God can fill any voids we have regardless of how large or small. Know that I care very much for the Wilbanks family. You hold a special place in my heart. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. DeeDee
