Hey daddy,
thinking about you often, especially this weekend being memorial day weekend. Remembering so many of the stories you told us about your time in korea. You were always so proud of the time you spent serving our country. Thank you for that. From the stories i know that time shaped your character in so many ways. And those stories have shaped ours as well.
I miss you more than words can say... But you know that already.

Hey daddy, its hard to believe that you've been gone two months tomorrow. We were all together saturday for your birthday and thought of you often. You would have enjoyed it so much. What started out as a conversation about movies turned into a history lesson about WWII...and we all said that you would have loved talking and teaching everyone about it. Mom's doing well...she misses you, we all do.
But i see glimpses of you here and there...keep checking in and i'll do the same. Love you,old man!!! allie

When things were tough at the Texaco Island, he was someone who could make things right by just sitting and talking. I am sad that he is no longer able to share his good and gentile nature but happy to know that now he is walking with the Big Fisherman himself.

Although I have seen Kenneth only a few times since we graduated, I remember him from our school years. His Army picture shows that smile that I remember well. He was a good friend...my best to the family.

Daddy, I cannot believe it has been a month since those beautiful blue eyes closed for the last time. I will miss you everyday for the rest of my life. You were and always will be my Hero. I am so grateful that God let me be there when you crossed over to the "other side". I imagine it was a "Grand Reunion" with your brother, Marshall, father, Lee, mother, May, and your beloved grandfather, and all the people you would talk about in those last five months at the nursing home.
We are doing good, the way I feel you would have wanted us to do. We have had great news about Grandsons, Kenneth "Casey", and Joshua, thanks Daddy. The mass on Saturday at Little Flower was very nice, mother, me and bonnie went. Alli was here and we all had a good visit with her, another wonderful gift.

I am so grateful that God gave You to me for a Father. I will always love you.

once my mother ''Jennifer Gillard'' told me my papa died I cried my eyes out.When I went to feed him with my granny''Bonnie Gillard''I also cried.He will be mssed so mich.I knew it would happen,but not at that time.At the visitation I wanted to say something but I was to busy crying.He is in pease now. He will be missed by cousins,sisters his brother''that was his favorite person in the world,'' wife, all sorts of peaple.Alot of people have died in my family,but Iknow he was my favorite.

Daddy I love you so much and I miss you already. You were the best father I could have had.

I am so terribly sad that I will never see you again here on Earth but I know you are free from all the pain and heartache of this world and you are now at peace. If there is a heaven, then I know you are there with all those who've you've loved and have passed on before you. Do not worry about Momma and Cathy, we will take good care of them. I hope that I will one day see you again as life will be so lonely without hearing your stories, seeing your sweet smile and being with you. I love you Daddy.
