I just stumbled onto to this today, I am truly sorry for the passing of George Lee. He will always be Butch to me. I was Butch's 1st wife. We were married 43 years ago before, during and after his tour of duty in Vietnam. We met and one week later he proposed. The thing I remember most is his smile, when he smiled you knew he was up to something. Rest in peace Butch, it seems you touched many lives and will be greatly missed by your family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Butch's passing. It has been many many years ago that we were married. He had a wonderful, careing , and compassionate spirit. Years after our parting Butch would still continue to visit my Aunt Betty Shipp, who was a crippled shut in. He brought her hams and turkeys at the holiday seasons and always brought laughter into her life.
I am forever grateful for his kindness. May God's comfort surround you all family and friends. You will be in my prayers.

I am sad to hear the news about George. I remember him as cheerleader at SPHS very well. Although I never knew him well, he was the epitome of Greenie spirit.

I only ever knew George as "Butch". I'm so sorry for you loss. Bunny was my aunt and Butch and I grew up together. One time when we were kids he was showing me how to play football and to tackle. I grabbed him around the knees and I just spun around him like a ring on a rope. He had a great sense of humor and I know you will all miss him. Sorry I cannot be with you. Regards, Kay
