Everyone at Dr Halbert's office sends our condolences to the entire Mullins family. We will miss seeing John in the office as will so many other offices in the area. We enjoyed his company and some of us have known him for years. We knew by the stories he told us that he cherished his family. Please take comfort in the knowledge that beyond this life as we know it there is a place where we will all meet again. A place where we never have to say goodbye.

Johnny was a favorite cousin of mine when we were young because he always enjoyed a good laugh with those of us who were in the family. He had a great personality and a love of his family that made him special. God bless those he left behind, who now have many special memories of a grown-up Johnny who himself was a good family man. To his parents, his wife, and his son, I send my condolences and ask you to find comfort in the joy he brought to many.

To Uncle James and Aunt Dorothy & kids: Thank you for the wonderful memories that you provided me along with your children throughout my childhood. Johnnie was such a great "older cousin"! He always had such a smile on his face and was always so genuine with his concern for you. No doubt a son and brother to be proud of. It will always be an honor to be able to say "he was my first cousin." I was so happy to see him at the reunion. Johnnie will always be with you in your hearts and believe me you'll feel him there. I love you all...Kathy

I will truly miss John. He was one of my favorites. Such a loveable and kind person to be your friend. God truly gave your family an angel. May God be a comfort in time of sorrow and my prayers are with you. I will truly miss the chats we had and the jolly smile he always had even in the midst of his illness. He was always positive and grateful to God for the years of life he gave him and he truly loved his family and would always share with us about his wife and son. He was so full of life!!!

JOHNNY, I REMEMBER THE DAYS ON DE SOTO STREET,
FOOTBALL IN THE LOT, CARD GAMES ON CARD TABLES IN THE YARD. LETTING YOU PRACTICE YOUR MAGIC TRICKS ON ME AND DIANE TILL YOU GOT THEM RIGHT OR WE BECAME BORED. GOING TO WATCH YOU RUN TRACK WITH THE RA'S FROM CHURCH, THE SUNDAY AFTERNOON FOOTBALL GAMES WITH ALL THE COUSINS AT FAIR PARK,
THEN YOUR HELP TEACHING ME TO DRIVE IN THE 56 NASH, WHAT A CAR. WORKING ON YOUR 65 CHEVY IN THE BACK YARD, I COULD GONE ON AND ON.
AS THE YEARS WENT BY, WE BECAME EVEN CLOSER
AND I WILL TRULY MISS THE WEEKLY PHONE CALLS BETWEEN US, JUST TO SEE HOW EVERYTHING WAS GOING.
AS YOUR SICKNESS PROGRESSED OVER THE LAST 2 1/2
YEARS, MY CALLS BECAME MORE FREQUENT AND YOU ALWAYS SAID EVERYTHING WAS GOING GREAT, EVEN THE LAST WEEK AS I GRASPED YOUR HAND AND YOU LOOKED UP AT ME AS IF TO SAY IT IS O.K. LITTLE BROTHER. YOU
WILL BE TRULY MISSED AS MY BIG BROTHER.
LOVE, LARRY

John always reminded me of "The Penguin" played by Burgess Meredith on the Batman series (I guess it was his funny laugh!). The world lost a great person!
