Guestbook for Carl E. Shrontz, M.D.

I knew Dr. Shrontz as a nurse in his O.R., a patient, and a friend. He always had a smile, when he was sick, when he was angry, and when he was frustrated. He did so much with the 56 years he spent here with us; rancher, doctor, surgeon, husband, father, and friend to MANY! The Lord had no choice but to take him, because Dr. Shrontz had accomplished everything the Lord desired him to do. Dr. Shrontz once said that he was only a doctor, so he could afford to be a rancher. Since Heaven sees no illness or pain, I know Dr. Shrontz now has time to focus only on what he enjoys.
My mother, like Dr. Shrontz, completed all the Lord's tasks too quickly, and left her daughters here on earth at the age of 51. I know the pain Dr. Shrontz's daughters are feeling. That pain never goes away, but in time becomes more tolerable and STRENGTHENS you. Find strength now in the Lord and in your family and friends. Rachael and Cara, you are in my prayers.
Laurel, I have no words to express what the friendship that you and Carl showed me, meant to me. When i felt so out of place, you made me feel welcome. I loved him. I hope that as we continue to work together, if there is ever anything you need, that you know I will help, and that you and Carl are always in my heart and in my prayers.

I met Dr. Shrontz through my mother Patricia Conley. She worked with him for many, many years and always had the highest regard for him. I thought if I ever needed surgery, he would be one of the only people I would ever trust! He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Many prayers to his children, wife and family.

Dr. Shrotz was my neurosurgeon and he was a great blessing to the Beaumont area. I would like his family to know that he helped so many people with his skilled hands and attention to details. My prayers to his family. He was a dedicated man and a blessing to Beaumont. He never stopped caring for his many patients. God Bless you in this time of sorrow.

I had the gift and pleasure of benifitting from Dr. Shrontzs' considerable skill as a surgeon and his skill as a human being. He operated on members of my family and also many friends and everyone who knew him respected him and admired him. He is truly the standard by which I judge other physicians. I was in his office, apparently, the day before he returned to the hospital this last time. He was concerned about my problem, my pain, and never mentioned anything about his trials or problems. I did not inquire as to his condition, not wanting to pry or be too personal, but I wish I had. I wish I had conveyed to him the deep admiration and respect that I have for him. I have no doubt that there was a great shout in Heaven as his spirit was received by God as the great healer that he was. I pray that God will grant his family and friends some measure of relief for their pain and grief at his loss. The entire southeast Texas area has sustained a great loss of a doctor and a friend with his passing, may he rest in peace.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Dr Shrontz was a remarkable physician and person. He had such a good heart. I'll never forget the first time I was in surgery with him and he said come on over here and take a look. He was an amazing teacher and always had a great joke. I never saw him that he did not have a smile on his face and a kind word. If there were more people like him in the world, the world would know peace. He will be missed!
