We're friends of Rachael's, and although we don't know Mr. Shrontz, we can tell from the video and all the wonderful messages what an amazing man he was. What a blessing to have a father who is so full of life and that you can look up to! We're praying for all of you.

We haven't seen Carl in almost forty years though we have occasionally received reports from his mother Carl was in our senior high Sunday School class when he was growing up in South Carolina.
Carl was the kind of teenager you don't forget. He believed that God had given him a mind and intended for him to use it. He did exactly that, whether the area of inquiry was religion or chemistry. He believed God had given him a life to make count and, as we read these many testimonies to his medical skills, his caring, his love of the cowboy life, his stories and his humor, we rejoice in knowing how he made his life count for so many.
We talked with Carl many times in those early days in which he was debating about college and medicine. He choose a fast track program (6 years, I think, to get through college and med school). The year after he completed it the program was eliminated because it was too hard on the students.
Why we must lose Carl at this early age is beyond our understanding. We can only rejoice in a life so well spent and grieve for his passing. We know how it hurts his family and all of those who benefited from his knowledgeable and passionate care. It hurts us all.

May you rest in peace my friend in the hands of the lord. Carl I know you will be welcomed in the kingdom of heaven....you my friend were a gift from God and your hands helped so many people to live and thrive. You did many necks surgeries on my mother Betty A. Griffin trying to help her and give her a better life. You will be missed by many people and may God be with your family during this hard time of grief but be assured you are in heaven with our lord who has a place for you in his kingdom....r.i.p.
