MawMaw im going to miss you. I remember visiting and you always made sure we ate, whether it was Bananna Nut Bread, Gumbo or boudan sausage you had saved for us in the freezer. We will all greatly miss you. R.I.P. MawMaw.

We love and miss you so much Maw- Maw. You were such a special person. If it wouldn't have been for you us kids probably wouldn't have made it as far as we have. I listen to Dolly Partons song about Coat of Many colors and it reminds me so much of you. You always took the time to make sure we had clothes to wear and warm quilts to cover up with, and was always canning something to make sure we always had food to eat. I hope I want to be just like you were to everyone, you would take the shirt off your back so that someone else could have one! I love you Maw-Maw!!!!

Aunt Lorance was a fine woman. Some of my earliest childhood memories are from visits with Aunt Lorance, Uncle Ellis, Aunt Desi & Uncle Lawrence. Cold winter days with her wood stove in the middle of her living room, warming her house, family pictures hanging on every wall & placed on every shelf along with the smell of her homemade banana bread lingering all the way to the front porch. Just a few years ago she let me in on one of her secrets. She said that sometimes she cheats on her banana bread, using a boxed cake mix & adding fresh bananas to the batter. I tried not to look TOO shocked.

My world was a better place for knowing this lady. May she rest in peace.

We loved Aunt Lorance very much. She was such a wonderful lady. We visited with her and Ellis many times through the years and enjoyed their company and hospitality. She taught me to make yeast rolls and banana cake. I still make them both and have passed the recipes on to family and friends. She will be missed.

Aunt Lorance was one of the finest Christian ladies I have ever known. She loved Avis, her grandchildren and nieces and nephews unconditionally. A visit to her home always revolved around food and serving her family. Her homemade pimento cheese was divine. When we lived with her she was always sweet, loving and gracious in every respect. I am so glad she was in my life, and know that God is rewarding her for all her faith, love and kindesss to others.

Aunt Lorance was a sweet person. David and I always enjoyed visiting with her as she was cheerful and always laughing. She also very fond of cooking and no one ever left her table hungry. We loved her and will miss her.
