Marvin Stroud, Sr.

Words cannot explain how I loved my papa so much. I feel as if he and my grandmother are my parents. I have so many fond memories of going to spend time with them in the summer when I was a child, absolutely loved it and I have to believe that they loved it as much as I did. I'm going to miss papa dearly and I'm very sad that he had to leave us, but I have peace that he is in a better place and does not have to suffer anymore. I know I speak for all of my family when I say we all wish we had more time to spend with him. It never seems to be enough. I also wish my little Mikayla had more time to know her great-grandfather,emphasizing on the word "great." However, I am grateful for the time they did have and I'm so glad he got to meet her. If only she had more than two years with him, she could have found out what a wonderful man he was, just as I did.

Dear Aunt Betty and family,
