My Dear Ruby & Family: What a legacy Melvin McDaniel was. I couldn't help but think of just how much fun he was in school yesterday when all those Wonderful Men of God were saying such great things about our friend and classmate. I also will always remember the hospital visits as well as the service he performed for my sweetheart Red in 1997. It seemed up until the last, Red always knew Melvin was in the room with him. And now, he is walking th streets of glory and rejoicing with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Can't you just imagine what they must be talking about. One thing for sure, Melvin was never without words, Glory To God.
My deepest sympathy to you and your wonderful family.
Jo

Sis. McDaniel, Debbie, Pam and Becky, We regret that we cannot be there to share in your grief. I have many wonderful summer memories at your home where you all were such a loving close family. My heart goes out in empathy to you, Sis. McDaniel, and your "girls" because I have traveled this road of parting of our loved one. We are thinking of you all today and praying that God will be with you and comfort you at this time.

Sis.McDaniel and Family....there are no words to say that will ease your pain at this time in your life but just know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.....I remember when they testified about Bro. McDaniel going to the dr and telling him that he loves to dance...well now he is dancing on the hills of glory and there is not a more deserving, wonderful man then Bro. Melvin McDaniel.....he will be greatly rewarded for his time of trial and heartache here on earth. God Bless you and your family.

What can one say, in a few short words, about a GOOD man that spent his entire life loving and living for God and had such a positive impact on our lives and the lives of so many others.
That he loved God above all, that he loved his church and did so much to help provide a place to worship and promote living for God; that he lived what he preached; that he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and would do anything to insure his family’s happiness and well being; a good worker and provider for his family; that he spent his entire life helping others, encouraging them, rejoicing with them in their joys and victories, grieving with them in their sorrows; a genuine, devoted and kind friend to the Cook family; we’ll never be able to record all the good and great things Brother Melvin did or what he meant to us all.
Brother Melvin is gone but will never be forgotten. We’ll miss him, but we’ll see him again in Heaven rejoicing around that great and mighty throne of God.
I still remember come quitting time at work, while some were still busy in their offices trying to wrap up the day’s work, Brother Melvin would be walking down that long hallway to get into his ride home and would bellow out a hearty “LAST TRAIAIAIAINNN FOR VIDOR!. Everyone knew it was quitting time and he was going home!
Well this time, Brother Melvin caught his last train home; destination: Heaven’s Glory Land to hear our Saviour say well done, good and faithful servant.
We pray the Lord will comfort and keep his protecting hand on the Melvin McDaniel family.
