Hello Cahlik Family,
You may not know me, but I went to school with Bryce Harper and Sam Brocato. They are close friends of mine. I also believe I met Becky once or twice as well. Anyways, I just wanted to let you know who I am and not some random person signing your guest book, although that still may be the case :-).
I am so sorry for your loss, and I know that words can never describe the anguish and deep sorrow that you may feel. Even though I don't know you, we are still in the same family, the family of Christ. I am mourning with you in your loss, and am surprised at the emotions that I feel of someone who I didn't even know who has passed on to be with the Lord. It is sad to see someone so young with such a heart for the Lord leave us. I didn't know Emily but she has touched my heart and soul. Her heart for missions resonates within me. I may not know you, but I feel connected with you all somehow. I pray that Christ would be your strength, your all, your everything. No one else can heal the wound you may feel but Christ. Somehow I feel that you know this already. Your family is an inspiration of Godliness and love.
Your brother in Christ,
Dylan

A Parable of Immortality
I am standing upon the seashore. A ship at my side spreads her white sails to the morning breeze and starts for the blue ocean.
She is an object of beauty and strength, and I stand and watch until at last she hangs like a speck of white cloud just where the sea and sky come down to mingle with each other. Then someone at my side says, " There she goes! "
Gone where?
Gone from my sight . . . that is all.
She is just as large in mast and hull and spar as she was when she left my side and just as able to bear her load of living freight to the place of destination.
Her diminished size is in me, not in her.
And just at the moment when someone at my side says, " There she goes! " there are other eyes watching her coming . . . and other voices ready to take up the glad shout . . .
" Here she comes! "
~Henry Van Dyke We love you Emily. You have a special place in our hearts.
