If a fifty cent piece and a quarter were on the Empire State Building, which would jump off first? I would think and think and think while Johnnie would sit there and smile and wait for my answer . . . then I’d give up and he’d say “The quarter, because it has less cents.” What an amazing, kind and funny man . . . God Speed Mr. Strimple!

Our deepest sympathy on your lost. We knew your family growing up. He is back home with our parents and many others who watch over us while we all were growing up in Bolivar.

Uncle Johnnie always had a joke for everyone, along with a bright smile and a great laugh. My prayers are with Kenny and Johnnie Jr. and their families. I know he will be missed by many.

Sorry you guys for the loss of Uncle Johnnie. He was a great guy! He will be missed. But now he is with Aunt Betty again watching down on all of you! Much love and many hugs!!

Johnnie was my next door neighbor for many years. He was a very good and kind man. He will be remembered in many peoples hearts as a good and fair man, and was a frend to everyone he met. Johnnie loved to make people laugh, and was good at it. Good bye Johnnie, you will be missed.

Capt. Ace loved Johnny like a brother. I am blessed to have known him and call him a friend. They are together now safe and free.

He was full of faith, hope, love, joy, fun, mischief, laughter. He shared and spread his wonderful qualities freely.

He would want you to take care of each other. Be happy, share the memories, good times, stories, jokes, and laugh.

Uncle Johnnie, you were "one of a kind", a gentle, loving soul. I will always remember our long conversations while staying with mom on my visits back home, you made my heart smile! You my dear uncle will always be remembered with love and respect.
