I will never forget the kindness you showed to me and my children those days we spent at Lakeview Lodge. I know that my son Jay in particular has some very good memories that include his Uncle Freck. May God be with you until we all meet again.

I knew Donald thru the Robertsons. He, Keith and Larry worked on my old Ford Falcon and kept it going. Later Donald needed an air conditioner and I happily gave him one I did not use. Hopefully he enjoyed many cool days inside. My prayers for his friends and family. When I think of him I recall the day the four of us stood beside my car. Of those - only I remain. It is a sobering thought and one to be considered.

My Uncle Freck was a man of many descriptions & many many words.. He taught me so many things about life & through some ways he never knew that he did. He was a man that would give the shirt off his back for you no matter what.. & I looked up to him for that! He made me smile & laugh alot! I'll always have him close to my heart & know that he's so much better where he is today & will see him soon. I love & miss you.. More than you know!

I'm trying to find the words to tell you how much yall mean to me. The great times/memories we had as children playing in the back yard of the Matthews Lane house. Don scaring us through the windows for fun. He could always make us laugh. What a great soul. This is difficult for me to be out of the country and not able to join you. I loved him so much. He was the older red head with freckles and could relate to my grief as a kid about the teasing we got. Please know your in my prayers. 'Momma Meeshelle' (Wilson)

Judy, Joan and Family:
I just wanted yall to know that my heart is with yall during this very hard time. I can only imagine loosing a brother how hard it must be since I have three. I remember Freck being such a fun loving person. My Mom soke of him often and his unconditional love for friends and family. He has had a long struggle and I am sure he is very happy and comfortable in heaven with his dad.
Love,
Kathy Brown-Gallier

I am truly saddened by the passing of an old school friend. My deepest sympathy to Donald's family for their loss. I often drive by the old Chance-Loeb Elementary School, and reflect on the days of my youth. Donald, we spent many days playing chase and other games during recess. I will miss you, but I know that one day we will meet on that school playground again.

Freck left an impression on us all back then, always upbeat and quite a character. Last time I saw him was at Fred Baggets funeral. He had that same ole smile and was as friendly as ever. I'm sure he will be missed. Good bye old friend.

Uncle Freck was a really good uncle and cared for his family alot. Although i never saw him much, i enjoyed the time i did spend with him. We will all miss him dearly and things wont be the same. He is in heaven now, with my Pawpaw and Uncle Jerry, looking down on us from above. I Love You :)

Donald was my very first boyfriend. He looked like Mickey Dolenz from the "Monkees"...he was so cute! Although we hadn't see each other for years, the photo of him surrounded by flowers and holding a beautiful, fluffy cat...I realized the sweet boy I remembered so fondly, had grown to be a very sweet man! I'm so sorry for his family's loss, but I'm sure he's resting with the angels. Love, Debra Jo Fondren
