Mom--I know I probably should not be signing the guest book, however, I want everyone who looks or signs this book to know how much I love you and how much I miss you. I catch myself thinking I need to let Mom know about this or I need to call her and let her know. I thought on Christmas Eve and Christmas day when I was with you that you were going to fool the doctors and stay with us. You were so happy and jolly not signs of ever leaving me. I know you are in a better place and not suffering any longer, however, it does not take away the emptiness I have for my Mom. Mother's Day was particularly hard as it was the first day I could not call, see or send my Mom a card. The emptiness was very much there on that day. With the Holidays coming up, the first year without both my Mom and Dad, that emptiness will surely be there and I wish for that little hug and the kiss on the cheek that I got from you last year. In 1990 when we lost Daddy we shared that loss, at least I had my Mom. This year I don't have that comfort and no person can fill the emptiness that I feel not having either of you. God, please take care of my Mom and Dad and let them know how much I miss them and how I feel so blessed to have had them all those years. I feel like an "orphan" so to speak though I have my husband, kids, sister, brother, sister in law and nieces and nephews, no one will ever take that special place I have for both of you and the memories I have will last forever. I know you loved me and I hope you both knew how I loved you so very much.

I had grown to love Telka over the past fourteen years that I have known her. She was a very loving and caring person and a wonderful sister-in-law. She always talked about the trip she, Eddie, Jack and I went on to Las Vegas to visit her niece, Susanne and her husband. She had a ball!! You'll be greatly missed Telka.

I was saddened when I heard about Mrs. Sumrall. The pictures brought back memories of "the good ol' days". Know that I will be thinking of all of you and that when I think of her, I can't help but smile. I am hugging each of you right now and am saying a little prayer for all of you.
Love, Sherri

One of the sweetest ladies we have had the pleasure of knowing. You will surely be missed by all those who know you. We'll always cherish the good memories we had at Fairview Baptist Church.
