I feel so blessed to have worked with Mr. Manning. He truly was a wonderful man to work with. I have so many great memories of my time working with Mr. Manning and the Creasons.
I will be praying for your family.

I was privileged to call him Uncle Charles. My family gathered at the skating rank many Thanksgivings and I have wonderful memories of spending the night with my cousins in the house next to the rink. We will miss him.

I grew up knowing Mr. Manning and the Manning Family. We skated at least two times a week. My grandfather "POP" and grandmother Mam-maw owned some skating rinks. My grandfather loved to go Texas On Wheels, I would drive him, when he could not drive any more. Mr. Manning always had a smile on his face and was a very sweet man. I loved to see him skate around the rink. He will truly be missed. I just know he skating in heaven now. Love Connie

We are so sad that you are gone. But how glad we are to know that we were once part of your "skating rink family" and that we have memories of you to last through our lifetime. We speak for all of the people that have ever come through the doors of the rink....thank you for giving up all of your Friday and Saturday nights for a bunch of screaming kids. You made a difference in our lives, and to the entire community. You will never be forgotten. Our prayers go out to your family and friends. Rest In Peace, Mr. Manning. We will miss seeing your smile.

Most of my memories of Mr. Manning were while my dad (Ricky Jordan) and grandpa (V.J. Jordan) did work at the skating rink, Manning's School Supply and at Mr. Manning's and the Creason's home. Please know we're praying for you all during this time of loss.

I was at the skating rink on Fri., Sat., Sun. and Wed. during my Jr. High and High School years (around 1964). My sister and I thought of the rink as our second home. We enjoyed the drama skits after the skating sessions. Mr. Manning was a wonderful person. I am very sorry for your loss.

The Cade Girls grew up at the Skating Rink in Gateway. We were there every Saturday Night and stayed there for "Sock Hop".. Mr. Manning was the nicest man and he watched over thousands of Beaumont Children. My daughter had many birthday parties at "The Rink". Your families are in our prayers.Skating in the Heavens.Miriam, Patricia and Terri Cade
