I met Mrs Katie when she was on Hospice. She was an angel then and is truly one now. I will always cherish the quilt tops and her stories from "the old days" She will be missed.

Roxie, Ellen and Addie: I am sorry for your loss, but she was always a very nice mom, relative and friend. My mother, Irene, is in a Nursing Center here in Tyler, she can no longer walk, and I could no longer lift her without hurting her. They get so fragile, mother was 96 in August. She talks about Sour Lake and people from there, and where they lived in Woodsboro after daddy became ill. She always knows the family. I remarried 16 years ago and inherited 3 more children in that choice. So together we have 6 children, 19 grandchildren, 14 Great GC with two more on the way. Love to hear from you, I don't make it to the reunions at Sour Lake, my husband doesn't really know anyone there, so it is boring for him especially since Bettye More Chumley lost her husband, we would usually go together, then Ray and Red had each other. Ha. Well, I will sign off but want you all to know I will be thinking of you, but we know she has run a great race and is now ready for her reward. Vinnie Jane
