I had the pleasure of meeting this amazing man when he stayed at Summer Place rehab for a short time. I didn't realize he had passed away. My Daddy was at Summer place in the room next door to Mr. Barranco. Me. Barranco walked over every day for a quick visit. He was so full of life and memories and stories to share. He truly loved life. Mr. Barranco went home after his short stay and left behind a smile. My Daddy passed away in November. I was really glad to get to meet Mr. Barranco and see the smile he bright to Daddy's face. I know he's still smiling and bringing happiness in his eternal life.

Sweetest person in the world, he will be missed by many

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Barranco (VJ). I remember him as a young girl, going with my father (Carlo Malley, Sr.) to pick up his invoices, envelopes and etc. for his place of business at Mr. Barranco's printing shop on College Street. The house in front of his print shop was the home his parents built that he and his brothers and sister grew up in. Have so many fond memories of Mr. Barranco. He touched so many lives and everyone loved him and his wonderful smile and wisdom.

I received a note from Mr. Barranco a few weeks ago to let the "Italian American Society of Beaumont" know of his new address to send his newsletter to. Mr. Barranco was a charter member of the club and had supported the club for the last 26 years. We loved seeing him at our Spaghetti Dinners and will truly miss him and his smiling face and kind words. Another bright star in the heaven above. Arrivederci

We will miss you so much. I will especially miss you on New Years eve when you would light your cannon at the shop every year. We love you. Mike and Carol

VJ was one of the sweetest souls I have ever met. His love for everyone was evident in conversations and his good deeds. A bright light has gone from us but Heaven has gained another saint.

My heart is truly saddened with this loss of such a wonderful, caring person that touched so many. He will join my mom and dad dancing and bowling up there.
