Christy and Alex - we're so sorry to be so far away at this time. Despite the distance, Destiny never left our thoughts and prayers - even now we're still praying for her, and for you both. She was an incredibly smart young lady with layers and layers of interests, thoughts, and understanding. I've been thinking about how she would Facebook chat with me sometimes when she couldn't sleep or was perhaps bored at home, yet I was awake (finally the time difference of 7 hours paid off, ha!), and I really enjoyed visiting with her one on one. It was a chance for me to get to know her better - usually at our family events everyone is busy playing and visiting in big groups, but these conversations were just us - small, intimate, and I treasure them :) She influenced and taught everyone she met, and even those who only knew her second-hand. Not a day goes by that I don't see NCIS, Star Wars, or even nail polish and immediately think of Destiny. I hope you both know that across the WORLD people are thinking and praying for her, and you, and we love you all so very much.
