Bro Randy. I am so sad to hear this. My memories of yall are such a sweet thing... the happiest years of mom and daddy's lives were in Kerrville. I have wondered often about the whole Hammer clan. Know you will be in our prayers.

Karen,
You were the most loyal, true, sweetest, thoughtful & beautiful ( inside & out) friend. You never forgot a soul. You had a heart for people. I love you & treasure all of the wonderful times we had!!! Til we meet again in Heaven, sherm

Our hearts are sad at the loss of our friend & "first lady". How I'll miss the sweet smile & long text messages. The help in our Sunday School classes...where you always loved the kiddos & they loved you. No matter how sick you were..you always worried about my health. We cried today as we picked lemons from our trees...we had promised you the first. I always shivered at how you could eat a lemon! You weren't just my pastor's wife...you were my friend. I'm going to miss you so much. I know you were tired...now you have rest & peace...a new body! Our prayers for our pastor & precious family. All our love...Ronnie & Melinda

Karen was one of those souls that made an instant impression from the first time you met them. In the short time I knew Karen, I knew she was a very special person. Her kind and joyful demeanor instantly improved your own. The world is in dire need of more people like Karen. Karen’s love for God translated into love for others.

Guess you can say we are all shocked that this has happened. There are some good memories that we can hold to that were spent with Sis. Hammer. As a church family we prayed for her healing but it was not meant to be. Our prayers are with our Pastor and all the family.
Rest in Peace Sis. Hammer.

Karen,
You were and always will be my only big sister. When we were younger, I remember thinking how 'grown-up' you seemed to be and secretly admiring you, as little sisters can do. Your talents and abilities were amazing. You loved clothes and shopping and always dressed so classy. I do not know many people who could keep up with you when you were on a shopping "marathon". :) You had awesome sewing and cooking skills. Your decorating was creative and beautiful. And, you could be so hilarious and witty. You would get that certain gleam in your eyes and I can remember laughing so hard at some of the things you said. I will miss you. I didn't expect you to go so soon and this week has been a sad reminder we are never assured of more time together. So thankful for the special times and memories we shared. Wish we could have had just a little more time.
I am so thankful you are no longer in pain and have made it safely home. I love you.
Your little sis, Rebekah
