Margaret and Family,

Ed's passing brings back early childhood memories going over to his house with my uncle, seeing Ed, who was a lot older, his parents, and what was amazing to a child, a big colorful parrot. I remember it being very talkative and responsive.

Memories last a lifetime. Sometimes when I would see Ed, we would enjoy talking about his pet parrot, some of his experiences at the University of Texas, and hunting.

May God's Grace and Love be with you and always hold dear the memories of Ed.

I am not from Beaumont, but my late wife Betty was. When we moved here, one of the first couples we got to know where Margaret and Ed. Being new to town, I was at first intimidated by Ed's authoritative figure. I finally realized his inquisitiveness was not a criticism, but a genuine interest in learning more about you. I soon saw through this façade and we became close friends.
His genuine concern for family and friends was never more apparent than when his daughters were in a serious automobile accident. He consulted me frequently and I was honored to be a help to him and his family
I believe what my mother taught me many years ago, that in Jesus' Fathers house there are many rooms prepared for those who believe in him. I believe sincerely that Ed is now in his new house enjoying the Heavenly fruits that are due to him for leading a stellar Christian life.

Margaret & Family. Was so sorry to hear about Ed's passing. I met Ed when He was a Freshman at St Anthony's H.S. In 1949. I had the good fortune of being an assistant coach for the Freshman Team. The team went undefeated, and this began a friendship of this team and students of SAHS that has lasted over 1/2 century and Ed played a very large part in this success as he did in many lives of people he loved and assisted.
May His Soul and all the souls of the faithfully departed REST_IN_PEACE_AMEN

John 10: 27-30: My sheep hear my voice. and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of my Father's hand. I and the Father are one.

Ed has heard the Shepherd's voice and followed Him home.

My prayers are with you all.

Your Cousin,

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Ed.

Ed is one of those individuals who in the course of my life has made a profound and indelible mark. I am who I am to a great degree because of Ed's influence. He was a man of faith as well as a man of the law. He was a superb friend and mentor. I could never have reached the level of success practicing law without his presence and guidance. We were not only partners in the practice of law, but great friends also.

One of the many, many great memories I have of Ed is when we won the City Doubles Handball Championship together one year. His whole family was there to cheer us on. Ed was the comensurate family man and was always bragging on his children.

We shared many experiences as good friends do. He has always been in my thoughts and prayers and will continue to be so. My life has been enriched by his presence and I will be eternally grateful.

Being your neighbor for more than 40 years has been a joy for us. Joe and I were so honored to get to play a part in the care and raising of Sassy and Bat Cat when they just began to walk! We loved them, but gladly returned them to your special care when you returned from a trip! You were such a kind man, and took care of many Mama cats and her kittens. Not to mention, raising a beautiful family.
Rest in peace. We will be looking in on sweet Margaret!!
love,
Joe and Linda Finley
