Dear Sandra, Deb, Shelle, Austin and Wyatt, When I first arrived at China Elementary I was warmly welcomed by you Sandra. I remember meeting J.E. soon after and will always remember his warm smile, his kind eyes and the time he always seemed to have to have a friendly conversation. He made everyone around him feel comfortable and welcome. From the first time I met him at China Elementary to the last time I saw him at a Little Dribblers game at Henderson watching his grandson play ball I will remember with fondness the time he always took to speak, smile and have a conversation. He was never in a hurry and always had a smile. My prayers are with all of you that loved him so much. It will be hard not to share moments with him. The love that your entire family shared is a true example to our entire community. I love all of you and pray for your comfort. Love, Jeanette

Love and prayers to the wonderful family of our friend. Peace and love. Although we did not get to know Mr. Sherman until the past few years, we quickly knew there was no one else like him. A very special person who loved his wife and family with his whole heart. Glad we got to hang out at the diner some with y'all.
