Janice Cummings Vaughn

Gary,
Was shocked to read your E-Mail regarding Janice.
Always a delight, read her Christmas E-Mails with
such pleasure. Long way in distance, but not in
thoughts. The picture of the four of us in New
Orleans sits on the cork board above our computer
in Green Valley. Our prayers go out to you, with
many "Thanks" for the friendship of you both.

Mrs Vaughn was a wonderful, loving person who always made me feel welcome and happy when in her home. She will be missed.

My sincere condolences to the entire family, especially Tony, Kelly, and the children. It is never easy to lose someone so close. I did not know Janice, but reading about her gives a glimpse into how special a lady she was. And how wonderful to hear of her faith in Jesus Christ, knowing that God has welcomed her home because of it. For Christians, that certainly is very reassuring. I pray that God will comfort you during this time.

Remembering my Dear Fried Janice....
My heart was aching when I heard of Janice's passing and I found myself remembering our wonderful friendship over the years. I really loved working with her on the Intercessory Prayer Group she began at Trinity UMC and my Stephen Ministry support to her. We were very close and shared so many special moments together over the years, including the birth of each of she and Gary's grandchildren. When I moved to California to live with my daughter, Janice and I stayed close even though we were thousands of miles apart. She was always so thoughtful with a note, a gift or photos. I will always cherish our friendship and I know my sweet Janice is an Angel in Heaven now with our Lord and I know I will see her once again.

I was blessed to get to know Mrs. Vaughn through her friendship with my mother, Katie Lee, in Beaumont. Mrs. Vaughn was kind, gentle, and had a beautiful spirit. She will be deeply missed by all who new her.
