So terribly sad to hear of "Big Jack"s passing. I have many great memories of he and my Uncle Jimmie!
All the laughs, how he could make people laugh!
He was a gentle giant with a enormous heart.
My most sincere condolences to his loving wife Judy, and the kids and family!
I included a poem read at John Wayne' funeral; it seems fitting to share words expressed for one great man for another great one:

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the Gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight,
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there, I did not die.

There are never words that are healing at this time, so just let me say that my heart goes out to this wonderful family and their many friends.

An Irish Funeral Prayer

Death is nothing at all.
It does not count.
I have only slipped away into the next room.
Everything remains as it was.
The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged.
Whatever we were to each other, that we are still.
Call me by the old familiar name.
Speak of me in the easy way which you always used.
Put no sorrow in your tone.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together.
Play, smile, think of me, pray for me.
Let my name be ever the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effort
Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was.
There is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well. Nothing is hurt; nothing is lost.
One brief moment and all will be as it was before.
How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting, when we meet again.

My deepest Condolences to the entire Doyle Family. I loved playing for Coach Doyle when I was a child. He was extremely caring and a great joy to be around. He will truly be missed.

So sorry to hear about Jack's passing. Jack was my favorite of my brother Al's friends. He was so much fun to hang with growing up. I'm not sure who exagerated more stories him or Al. My mom was always chasing them both with a wooden spoon (and that was a funny sight considering my mom was only 5') what 1 didn't think of the other did they were always in mischief of some kind. Fondly remembering Jack and What he meant to the Jones'.keeping your family in prayers.

So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He was a great funny man. I have known him most of my life, he was always welcome in our house when I was growing up in Levittown, he was a good friend of my older brother All Jones.
