Dearest Jane, Shane And Family,
We send our sincerest thoughts, prayers and condolences on the passing of your loved one, Jim.
We had full intentions of making it to the memorial service, but due to all of this horrible and inclement weather and road closures that we've been experiencing, we will not be able to make it there. Just know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. May God's perfect peace and comfort, which passeth all understanding, envelope you all during this most difficult time.
Sincerely, With Our Love,
Rayburn & Diane Beaubouef

Mrs. Stagg,
You probably don't remember me but Ashley was in your class in the 4th grade. So very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of meeting Jim at your house and he was so gracious and kind. Prayers sent your way........

My uncle Jim was one of the greatest men I ever knew. This world has lost a legend, and a void in our lives has set in that will never be replaced. I am just fortunate to have the memories of all the good times I had with him and the many things that he taught me. One thing I remember is that he always sung "Old Lord its Hard to be Humble when your perfect in every way". Well Uncle Jim you were Perfect and will be missed by so many. Love You and will never Forget you.

Jane and Family, Carla and Sue and PJ and I send our love and prayers for you all. From my childhood Jim was a special cousin in my life. Very kind-hearted and considerate of a little bothersome cousin like me --- I was always asking about his model airplanes and his football team and college and Air Force experiences. We will all miss him. We can think of Uncle Walter and Aunt Nell, PJ, Sr and Lou, Aunt Freddie and Uncle Fritz, Grandma Stockwell, Uncle Merlin----- what a wonderful bunch of relatives to claim, Bet they are all together now. Best regards, Charles H. Stagg

I was a college classmate of Jim Stagg and had recently established contact with him and was planning to personally visit him. We were crewmembers with Stuart Slayton and Tom Colvin during Forestry Summer Camp in 1958. I had not seen him since 1959 and was so sorry to hear about his passing. I will cherish forever the memories of our time together at Louisiana Tech. So long old friend.

My sweet daddy was simply the best man I've ever known. A role model for me and my brothers and our children, a kind man and honest man, a great Christian conservative who never met a stranger and could cook and tell stories to a homeless man or to royalty. I never knew of a single soul who didn't love my dad. I adored him without exception and I'm so glad he is at peace. I wish I had had a chance to tell him before he left the earth that every time I called him to ask for a recipe, I already knew how to prepare it, I just loved the joy he got in telling me how to do it over and over and over again. Maybe he knew, too, and he was just going along with it, because it was our thing. I am comforted that he knew how much my brothers and I adored him and I will be so happy to be reunited with him again someday. For now, I know he is watching over my sweet pets (Boots, Goldi and Penny) that he loved so dearly and spending time with his mother and dad in Heaven. We will all be raising a glass to you this weekend, Dad. We love you.
