Knowing Jack was a pleasure in my life. I met him in 1981 when I was befriended by his father, Bob. While we were not bosom buddies, we always spoke when we ran into each other. During that time I met his sons who spent lots of time with their grandfather. Jack was highly respected in his profession and he could always make us laugh, either with a story or by doing some slight of hand. From the picture, he grew older and looked like his father. To Jack's family, please accept my sincere condolences, and I pray for God's blessings for you in your time of mourning. I will miss him.

Mr, Mistrot was my 6th grade teacher at Sallie Curtis in the 60's. What an awesome year that was. The books that he read to us, the science projects he exposed us to , oh and I can't forget the "Top 5". He opened my eyes to the vast world of science, especially the work that he had us do in the woods behind Curtis. He was so caring and encouraging to us and inspired us all to aim for the sky in life. Thank you, Mr, Mistrot.

Mr. Mistrot was a caring principal during my years at Sallie Curtis, and it is clear that he was a dedicated educator throughout his life. I remember fondly my last day at Curtis before transferring to a new school, as Mr. Mistrot and his vice principal took the time to offer good wishes and bid me goodbye. I feel certain that he made a personal connection with most every child in his charge; what a legacy! May he rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Mr. Mistrot. He was the principal at Sallie Curtis when I was there in the 60s. I will never forget his support and comfort when my father was killed in an airplane crash when I was in the 6th grade. He was such a positive influence on so many lives through the years. May he rest in peace and may the family find comfort through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. Elaine Henderson

I was also in that 6th grade class of 64-65 and 2nd you Anita. His smile on this notice is the same as in '64 and conveys his boyent spirit. He read the book "the raft" to us about 3 airmen lost in the pacific in ww2 and ultimately surviving. Great story and great telling of it by a great teacher.

Mr. Mistrot was by far the most creative teacher I had in my school years. Had him at Sallie Curtis, 5th grade in 1957-58. There are a ton of memories from that school year. So sorry to hear of his passing. I pray God's blessing for his loved ones during this time....

Loved visiting with Mr. Mistrot at the mailbox. Not to mention his ability to entertain in general. Prayers for the family.

Jack was a treasured volunteer of the Golden Triangle RSVP for almost 17 years. He was always willing to help out especially if he could be around other people and have fun. Was so glad I was able to visit him about a month ago. May prayers surround you in the days ahead Beth Anne, I will miss Jack.

He was my 6th grade teacher at Sallie Curtis Elementary around 1964. He was one of my favorite teachers. Very fair and understanding man. He dissected a cat retrieved from the pound which makes me laugh now, for this could not be done in today's learning environment. A great man.
