I am so glad my best childhood friend introduced me to her best college friend. René always glowed. We often laughed 'til we cried. She was so much fun. Get-togethers were highly anticipated though too few and far between. But that's life. And we never know how long that will be. Which is why I'll always remember René as never missing an opportunity to uplift someone else. Countless children - her own and her students - and many friends and colleagues. To her husband and family, my condolences. May the echoes of her love and light remain in your hearts forever.

I am sorry for your loss of Rene. She was a fun loving, caring, beautiful person. I enjoyed working with her at Eugene Field, the best place to work. I know that the family will all have such wonderful memories of her. Keeping each of you in my thoughts and prayers as you now go through life together without her. She is greatly missed by so many people as all the posts on facebook have already shown how many lives she touched.
