Helen Berniece Fields

So sorry to read of the passing of Mrs Fields. Mrs Fields was my 1st grade teacher at Tyrell elementary in 1968. She was the best teacher I ever had. Her chalk drawings were amazing and were what got me interested in art and design. Every morning was a different picture, in color chalk on our classroom drawing board. I went on to receive a degree in Architecture and never forgot Mrs Fields. I still have the paper weight rock that we made in class, painted in all of the primary colors. Everyone has a person who has had a great influence on their life....Mrs Fields was that person for me. I'll always remember her.
