You left this place too soon You left a lot of buddies behind. Hopefully you went to the right place. It was great working with you at Fish and also being a roommate at Sam Houston State. Those were the GOOD times. Will miss seeing you and your smiling face.

Sorry I didn't know any of Bobby's family, but wanted to let all of you know how sorry I am. I loved seeing the video and how young he looked in some of the pictures--that's how I remember him. He came to H-J when I was in High School, but I didn't have him as a teacher. I called him "Mr. Turner" then, but "Bobby" in later years when he was a friend to my classmates (Ricky & Billy Bob). I will always remember seeing that yellow Corvette coming off of Barfield St. where he lived and heading out to who knows where--off on some adventure or just out for a ride. From a fellow arrowhead hunter--ride on Bobby!

My thoughts and prayers go out to Mr. T's family and friends.
When I look back on my high school years, I always think of Bobby. He was such a wonderful teacher and friend to all who's lives he touched. His drafting classes were the most memorable. He was always so patient and helpful but in a way that made you plot your own course to a successful solution.
And then there was his yellow Corvette. That car and Mr. T were meant to be together...and it showed. I remember passing by the apartments he lived in on several occasions and saw him outside washing and taking care of his yellow baby.
RIP
Jerry M.

We often take for granted the very things that most deserve our gratitude. Bobby Turner was the kindest person and the best teacher, he believed in us..helping us mature to the next plateau with his gentle tugs and pushes with that sparkle in his blue eyes. The things he wrote on the blackboard of life for us can never be erased. God bless you Bobby Turner-this saddens me greatly..May peace be with your family ALWAYS!
