Mrs. Gibson, Weldon's child-bride. He loved you so much and also spoke so highly of you. He was a wonderful man who loved the Lord, loved you and the kids and his work. He will be greatly missed.

I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Weldon's family. I have known Weldon since 1994. He cherished his family and I feel like I know them each personally. He was a great story teller. One of the things I really admired about Weldon was his care for his business clients. He put everything he had into helping them. He didn't care what time of day it was, they were welcome to call for assistance. He was fortunate to be loved by so many people. He will be greatly missed. This area has lost a treasure. My prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

Glenna and family,
May the good Lord comfort you as you celebrate what a special gift from God that Weldon T. Gibson was. He was the great connector...connecting people,..connecting businesses...connecting history...and most importantly connecting with his heart. I have a fond memory of him driving by The Giving Field and honking his horn...as if to say..."keep going"...the sight of his car always brought a smile to my face,..that was Weldon, full of genuine love for all. Peace and Love, Mary P. Mahlie San Marcos, Texas

To the family, I so adored Weldon. We've been friends since the 1980s when he was with Junior Achievement and the Texas Society of CPAs. He was always so sweet and genuine as a friend and business associate all these years. We talked at least once a year since then. I will miss him very much. I am sorry for your loss. Weldon was a great man.

We will be there to share this time of sorrow with you Glenna, Don and Stan and the rest of your precious family. I was blessed to have this wonderful man, and your entire family as part of my life. When we lost Robin, my sister...your mom was right there the entire time helping my mom to try to cope. We enjoyed being there with everyone for their 50th Wedding Anniversary here in Dallas. too. When I lost my father back in 2013, I spent many hours on the phone with Weldon, as he helped me to accept his loss. I have always felt love from this family and there is no doubt in my mind that Weldon in in heaven with Jesus's arms welcoming him HOME! I pray God's love and peace over your entire family as you say your earthly goodbyes to your husband of 61 yrs, and your father and grand father. I too will miss him. We send you our love. Weldon served as Executive Director of the Southeast Texas Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants for several years. During my term as president, which included hosting a mid year board meeting in Beaumont, Weldon was an invaluable help and source of information and guidance. I thoroughly enjoyed working with him. My sympathy goes out to his entire family.

Weldon was such a sweet and kind soul....a true gentleman. I can honestly say that I learned something with each encounter I had with him. All rare qualities, all bundle in one man.

To the Gibson Family: So sorry to hear of Weldon's passing. Weldon was an incredible mentor for me at the Lamar University Small Business Development Center for many years. He became more of a friend than an advisor, and I looked forward to hearing his "tractor" stories from the farm. He provided guidance for a new business venture just a few months ago, and assured me that retirement would not mean what it said. The community has lost a great leader and friend.
