Faye and family...
We are so saddened by the loss of your son, Scott. He had been on my mind. I had asked Jacqulyn last week if she knew where he was. Looking at his pictures I see he had a very happy life after the accident his sophomore year that took him away from his classmates. Faye, I admire your strength as you cared for Scott all these years. I wish we had known before today so we could have attended his service. May God's peace be with you and your family.

We were so sad to hear Scott has gone to Heaven. I remember him when he was young and playing baseball at Amelia Little League. He was a great ball player, gave it his all, and smiled the whole time. I will never forget his smile. When you saw it, you just had to smile-it was so contagious. My prayers are with Faye, Gary, Ashley and all of his family. We will see you one day, Scott.

I just learned of Scott's passing. I'm incredibly saddened by this news. Scott was one of my students at the Oaks Education Center. I never knew him before his accident, although Faye told me many stories. Scott was always happy and smiling from the time his mom dropped him off until the time she picked him up. Scott entertained others in the classroom and thought everything was hilarious; even when I was being attacked by another student. lol Scott touched my heart and I know he will be missed by many people whose lives he touch in the same way.

I so fondly remember the friendship that my brother, Greg Balfanz, and Scott shared. I wish they had gotten to spend more time together but I know Scott was often on the mind of my entire family over the years. May the memories of Scott bring smiles to your face. I know he is looking down on us in between innings as the newest "Angel in the Outfield!" Love and prayers, Martha Balfanz Bland
