Dear sweet Nellie, my heart is broken over your passing. I still can't believe it's real. You were such a good friend to me. I will always treasure the memories, the laughs, and the talks we shared through the years. I will never again be able to say, " I have a question, " without thinking of you. But that won't be a bad thing. It'll make me smile as I remember so much. You have certainly earned your wings. Fly high and enjoy eternal life in Paradise with our Father. I hope you and Randy get to share a few laughs together. Give him a hug for me. I will love you forever my friend. We will meet again. Until then, Rest in God's Peace.

For as many years as I have worked as the claims supervisor for FDLIC, 20+ years, I have known Nellie through our business relationship. She came to be someone I called my friend. She has been gracious, friendly, professional and so much more anytime we worked together on claims. Her caring and compassion for all of the families she served in her community was always evident in her handling of the claim, making sure it was complete and taken care of. I will miss her voice and presence, long distance as it was, she was a voice on the phone that I respected and cared about. She will be greatly missed! God Bless you all and we will be thinking of all of you at this time.

Nellie is a special person who will truly be missed. Her beautiful smile would light up a room and was contagious. Anyone who met her, felt the presence of God. I feel blessed to have known Nellie and served with her on ACTS retreats.
May fond memories and prayers help the family during these difficult days. Robin

My prayers for comfort go out to Nellie's family. I did not know she had passed but happened to get on Facebook tonight and saw it. I did not know Nellie very well. I met her when I did the ACTS retreat in 2009 and she was on team. But over the years I have felt a bond to Nellie. We both had cancer and we both have daughters named Kalynn. I talked to her at MD Anderson in October and remembered how very sweet she was. I am so saddened by the news of her passing. But I know and her family knows that she is with our Lord now and she is at peace as He welcomes her into heaven. Will continue to pray daily for her family. My heart is broken as I know everyone that knew her feels the same way.

Nellie I can't believe you are gone. You fought hard with dignity and grace and your faith never broke. You have been a very special person in my life since the first day I started at Broussards 11 years ago. I will miss our daily conversations just to see how each other was doing. Even in the last few months when you where getting tired you kept telling me that you are going to be fine and you are hanging.in there. God has finally healed you like you have always believed and now you are sitting at the right hand of our Lord and Savior. I am going to miss you. Please give my dad a hug and kiss from me and tell Frank and Gene now that you are there they have to behave. Love you sweet friend. Until we see each other again.
