Dear Chilton Family, I was so very sad to hear about Terry's passing. So young and so much left to do. He was an amazing person and helped me with my very first job. I was Terry's first secretary at Republic National Life Ins.in Beaumont. I was a senior at Forest Park High School and he hired me to be his secretary in 1974! I knew "shorthand" and could type really fast and he talked really fast! We were both "babies" in our professions but it was fun to go to work everyday for Mr. Chilton. He gave me a book entitled The Seven Secrets of Successful People and I passed it on to many people. He was one of a kind!! God bless you all as you say goodbye to such a unique man. I feel lucky to have spent 2 years working for him before I went off to college. God Bless you Terry!!

Rest in peace, dear friend. We know you're in the best of hands now. We remember so many good happy times with you and Carol Ann, and we will never forget you. We especially remember the good times when you two were newlyweds and we were your across-the-street neighbors. We will see you again someday in the future. Much love.

You will be missed. You are walking with the angels now and praising God.
My prayers will now be for Carol. We are walking the same sad path. I will pray that she will know the peace that only the Lord can provide.

So very sorry on y'all's loss. Good memories of his friendship, and I so enjoyed my conversations with him when we would come across each other. He made you feel good when you were around him. He did so love his family. Our prayer's go out to the family. So sorry I couldn't make it to the services.

Terry & my brother Dennis worked together in the rice fields & he became part of our family. He & my Mother had the same birthday & she loved him dearly. At my Father's funeral she introduced him as her other son. We will greatly miss him & his wonderful smile.

Carol, our deepest sympathies for the loss of Terry. He was a true friend to the store, always upbeat with a quick joke and appreciation for all we did. He will be sorrily missed by all of us here at the store. We appreciated him for various reasons but mainly for his loyalty to our business and the many other local businesses and organizations he supported in Beaumont. He was a true friend to the community. May the Good Lord bring peace to his soul and also consolation to you and all his family members in this time of sorrow. We are all better for having known him! God Bless.
