Joyce Lyon Saia

I am so saddened by this news. This is a great loss for her family and friends and the quilting world, especially in Beaumont. Joyce's smile and love made the world a happier place to be and her wonderful quilts made the world a more beautiful place to be! I love the care and attention that I saw from her loving husband as he took her on all those quilting trips, especially to Paducah and the care and attention from Leslie as she attended bee and guild meetings with her and from Leslie and Linda as she went to classes and quilt shows in Houston. It is an honor to know this family and I know they were all blessings to Joyce. Joyce and all of you are in my loving prayers. Dot Collins

My prayers are with the Saia family through these hard times. Joyce will be greatly missed. It was always a pleasure to sit, visit, and talk all things quilting as Joyce was always willing and eager to share her knowledge.

I was so saddened to learn of Joyce's passing. She was a dear and special friend to the work of Some Other Place. Her beautiful quilts that she so graciously shared with us helped to raise funding to insure the continuation of our mission of service. She will so be missed by all who knew and loved her. We are very sad to hear of Aunt Joyce's passing. We will always remember her love and kindness. Her warm smile and lust for life was an inspiration to us. We have fond memories of the many dinners we all had at her favorite restaurant when they would visit us here.
