Well it's July 2016 now. 2 weeks ago I was in Northern Ireland with Tommy's family and friends to scatter his ashes at the Giants Causeway, as were his wishes.
What a beautiful send off. A truly wonderful setting with some amazing words spoken about a remarkable man. I met Tommy in the summer of 1971. I couldn't understand a word he said. I didn't need to because at the end of every sentence he would laugh, with that cheeky smile and that partly closed right eye, as if he was permanently 'winking' at you. That was all it took. His natural exuberance for life and optimism did the rest. We were close friends along with Andy Tanner for the next couple of years. Every time Tommy returned to Bath he always made a point of calling in to see me.......such a nice chap. I really do miss you Tommy, fond memories, Dave x

I first met Tommy Browne in Bath, England in 1971. He was sent to Bath to stay with his grandparents Tom and Bea Albin, this was at the height of 'the troubles' in Belfast. Tommy joined our gang called "the Lads" and we enjoyed the fun, freedom and adventures that we all shared together during all the school holidays. This was for me the foundation of a lifetime friendship which I will treasure forever. What a man, what a heart and what a big hole you have left Tommy Browne. Rest In Peace. Your Best Mate, Andy Tanner.

Not only have I lost my much loved brother, you were also my hero. You were always there for me when I needed you. Always smiling and content. What beautiful memories you leave behind.

To me, you were more like a brother than a brother in law. Will miss you big man.

Still trying to believe this is happening. Tom and I shared our Europeanness when surrounded by McCarters. It was kind of sweet. I was always glad that you two found each other.
Cathy, I grieve with you and for you. My deepest condolences to all the family. May you feel the love that surrounds you at this time, and may this love comfort you in your sorrow.
