Robert and family, I send my sincerest condolences at this time of sorrow for your family. I didn't get to see WJ much in the last many years, but I remember him as a boy and teenager. He was a very nice and likeable guy and a lot of fun too be around. I know he is enjoying his new heavenly home. Also, I cannot make his home going celebration but I am there in spirit and you have my prayers too help you through this most difficult time. God bless you all. Ernest Brown

I knew W.J. when he was TP&W captain in Waco. I was a reporter for the Waco Trib and would visit with him for game warden stories. I enjoyed visiting with him. We knew some of the same folks from East Texas. He was a very nice fellow with a great sense of humor. My condolences to his family for their loss.

Linda, I am so sorry to hear about WJ. I worked with him at the Mobil refinery. He and I worked at the complex plant as planners and foremen. My prayers are with you and your family.

WJ was a great friend and boss when I worked for him while he was Captain in Waco. I always remember when he traded his Dodge Ram 4X4 to me for the car I was driving. I finally had a real Game Warden vehicle thanks to WJ. Of course, I had to clean all the broken glass out of it as all the windows had been broken out when WJ was working down south. I will miss not seeing him and have lost a good friend. My prayers are with his family.
