I'm glad I got to see you one more time. You will be missed. Tell Dickie hi.

To J. Roy's grandson Jason, great grandson Javyn, great granddaughter Layla, and all of the rest of the family, I am very sorry for your loss. J.Roy was a very hard working man, a good loyal man, a man you could be proud to call dad and grandfather. He will be missed by all.

Pawpaw Fontenot will always have a piece of my heart. Growing up he took part in my life. He always knew how to get a good laugh out of me, "Hey you been ridin' that donkey?" he always teased me because I rode a mule/buggy around town. He was a great man and my best wishes go out to all of his family and loved ones. Rest in paradise, you will always be remembered and held dear to my heart Pawpaw Fontenot.

My thought and prayers are with all of J. Roy's family. He was a very good friend to my cousin Dickie for many years and am thankful for that.

Comforting prayers for you all. Mr. Fontenot was a very sweet and gentle man. I know your loved one will be missed.

I love and miss you so much but am carrying on just as you would have me. Everything that is good in me, I got from you. You were the bravest and most courageous man that I have ever known. Just want you to know that I will take good care of Alec, Grayson and Lila and finish school. Tell maw maw I say hello and I can not wait to see yall. Save me a seat. Love you bigger than big<3

I never knew J. Roy or seen him when he looked like this picture. That is my loss. Great picture. I remember hunting Pintail Ducks next to him and Briggs in a China Rice Field, many years ago, close to pignut ditch. All I could say, was, do these guys enery miss. Good calling and shooting J. Roy. I still ask about you, but haven't seen you for years. Have a safe trip to Heaven.
