My mother, Genevieve Friel Barrett, was a life long friend of Joe Arena. She shared some good stories of the two of them riding horses. Before she passed away in 2011, we would meet Joe for lunch at Hotel Beaumont. He was such a nice guy, always dressed nice with his bolo tie. I know he will be missed. I'm picturing them reunited in heaven and laughing over old times. RIP Cowboy Joe.

"Cowboy" was the happiest person that ever lived. He loved life, and making others smile. He will be greatly missed by everyone at Atria Collier Park.

Debbie, Joey, Chuck, Rosie and Lisa, I hope you understand that certain circumstances prevented me from joining you all in the memorial for your dad. Your father and mother, my dear cousin, shared a life that produced five wonderful offspring. Your father will always be remembered and we should be thankful for the many years we had him in our lives.

Joe and Rosie my prayers are with you and the entire Arena family. What a great family your father raised. You made him proud and know that is all a father could ask, want or need to know fulfillment in life. Celebrate his life and know the good our creator has in store for us all.
