Gay Burrell

As a teenager in Winnie, I got to know Gay at the post office, then I saw her many times at the Arboretum when I'd go to visit my mom. Was so caring and loving. We visiited a time or two there and when I'd walk in she'd give me a wave and a smile if we couln't visit. I was missing her the months before August when Mom passed away. May she rest in peace.

Miss Gay was such a great lady. I was her neighbor and I often saw her at the Arboretum, visiting and taking care of others even when she was so sick. I thought of her as an angel on earth. She will be missed by so many.

I was so taken back when I saw this lovely lady's picture and the news just saddens me. Gay rode as far as San Antonio with me once. I picked her up on the way back through and we had the best time talking and visiting. She's the kind of beautiful person you go out of your way to say hello to. I know her family misses her and I am saying comforting prayers for you all.
