Alex "Joe" Joseph Stelly

To Mr. Stelly's family - My dad, Burt Helmke, a long-time South Parker who moved his family to Mid-County in 1970, continued to drive in to Mr. Stelly's barber shop in Beaumont because he said no one cut his hair as well as Joe Stelly...not to mention he thoroughly enjoyed visiting with Mr. Stelly and other barber shop patrons. Dad thought highly of Mr. Stelly and appreciated his friendship. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathy are with your family.

Cousin Alex,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family; your dad will be missed by all. I always enjoyed visiting with your Dad; he always had a smile and kind word to say. He so loved your mom, you and your sisters, you could see a sparkle in his eye when he talked about any of you.
Your dad was a man of great faith, I know you will miss him but take comfort in knowing that he is looking into the eyes of his Lord today.

Joe was such an important part of South Park. He was real gentleman; took care of my Mother's yard when she would be gone on one of her extended visits to her out of town children and grandchildren. I know you will have will many happy memories to share in times to come.

Sorry for your loss. I always enjoyed getting my hair cut by Joe. Hadn't seen him in a while but still think about him and his green pickup truck everytime I drive by the old shop.

I have wonderful memories of going to the barber shop with my dad. Mr. Joe also gave my son his first haircut, and later gave my boys their first flattops. My thoughts and prayers are with the family today.
