I worked with Madelyn McKee in the Records Office at Lamar University from 1979-1988. Madelyn was always so sweet and friendly. I have thought about her over the years and wondered how she was. Prayers for the family at this difficult time.

Jan, Mike, Cynthia and family; we want you to know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We were so fortunate to have the opportunity to meet Madelyn McKee several years ago in Austin and will never forget the stories she told us about Jan and Mike. She was an amazing person and now a beautiful angel.

I worked at Lamar University when Madelyn was there. She made the most delicious cakes! We always ordered them for our staff birthday parties because she used "real butter" in her cakes. Once, she called me because she could not make a cake because she had the flu. I had to make one. Of course it was not as good because I used a mix and margarine. I drew a daisy flower on it for the birthday girl. Put on the top "Happy birthday to you. Madelyn has the flu. This isn't real butter, but I hope it will do." Madelyn definitely got a chuckle out of it when I told her. She was a delightful lady.
