Rick Smith, to me: friend, athlete, disco dancing, car pooling bud to Lamar in Beaumont, always laughing and cutting up, forever picking and teasing, good people! Rick makes me think of water skiing, The Lighthouse, Earth, Wind, & Fire, Brothers Johnson, KC & The Sunshine Band,..., that nervous tick he had, CE, Clint, and Fletcher and Country Squire, to mention just few! Haven't seen much of you old friend in decades but this I know; love ya and hope to see you again~T-Ray.

I was always glad to see Rick reporting a deposition I took. He paid very close attention to detail, so we appreciated his fine work. With that focus, he was always friendly, kind and just pleasant. Our condolences on the loss of a very fine man.

I was saddened to learn of Rick's passing. I was fortunate to meet Rick and played many rounds of golf with him as a member of the Rayburn Bandits. He had a courageous battle with his disease, and will be missed by all who knew him, Our sympathy goes out to you and your faimily in your loss. May God Bless.

Alice, I am so sorry to hear of Rick's illness and passing. I will forever remember that he could make me laugh like no other at CSR parties. I will definitely be raising my glass and saying a toast to him!
