I worked with Rick (& Alice) when I first started court reporting in 1988 and he always provided me lots of great information as a 20-year-old who knew nothing! He comes from a wonderful family, and he will be missed greatly. Very well written obituary! May your rest in His peace, Rick!

Alice, I was so sorry to hear of Rick's passing. I remember him not only from being a court reporter, but playing co-ed softball against him so many years ago. I will certainly lift my next glass of wine and toast Rick. You are all in my prayers.

Randy and I are sad to hear of Rick's passing. We had the pleasure of being the Smith's neighbors and friends during our 4 1/2 year stay in Beaumont. We will continue to remember Alice and Rick's family in our prayers in the days and months to come.
