Joyce and Tanya, Please accept our deepest sympathy. George was a great colleague and a one of a kind Planetarium Director. He single handedly kept that program alive for many years in BISD and made a wonderful impact on many young lives. May God bless you with peace and comfort.

We have missed seeing George of late and have asked about him often amongst friends. We had to be out of town and were unable to come by to pay our respects but we were thinking about you, his family all the same. We will miss seeing his smile. Buzz and Cathy Long

So sorry to hear about Mr. Owens. I had him as a teacher way back at Forest Park and he was THE BEST teacher. I am also your neighbor and always loved how he kept his yard so nice. I will be praying for you and your family.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories of George. I loved taking my class to the planetarium because he would tell me he would take charge of the kids, and I could get a cup of coffee for 45 minutes. When I bought my house after my divorce, he also helped me get a good price. I also remember how he used to love to play golf. May God give you the stength you need to go through this difficult time. You and your family are in my thoughts, Pat Velzeboer
