May the Lord comfort you and bless you.
I worked at Gulf Oil with Juneau in the good old days. I guess the most of us felt that Gulf was the best company to work for.
It was good knowing Juneau for many years.

We hearts are heavy at the loss of Uncle Pap. We loved the surprise sightings of you when we went out to eat. You loved the places we loved and we would joke about if we would see you as we walked in the building! You kept us laughing! We are still looking for you when we go out to eat..... Can't wait til the day we see you again. Love you- Sharon Mike and Lauren

My deepest heart felt sympathy pours out to your family. I found this poem about a father and while I had never met Gene I can only imagine that he might have related to a father being compared to a giant pine.
To My Father
by Georgia Harkness
A giant pine, magnificent and old Stood staunch against the sky and all around Shed beauty, grace and power. Within its fold birds safely reared their young. The velvet ground beneath was gentle, and the cooling shade gave cheer to passers by. Its towering arms a landmark stood, erect and unafraid, As if to say, “Fear naught from life’s alarms”.
It fell one day. Where it had dauntless stood was loneliness and void. But men who passed paid tribute – and said, “To know this life was good, It left it’s mark on me. Its work stands fast”. And so it lives. Such life no bonds can hold - This giant pine, magnificent and old.
