Scott has been the person I always called when my loved ones were in trouble. He saved the lives of both my parents and performed surgery on my spouse. I am shocked and saddened to know of his passing. All my sympathies to his family. Lynn Bencowitz

I circulated the first case Dr. Kacy did in Beaumont. I had the privilege to work with him for several years in surgery at MASH. In later years when we ran into each other he never forgot who I was. Deepest sympathy to all who grieve his loss. Softly call the Muster- Here. Rest in peace Doc.

Scott was a kind and caring man. I will never forget his kindness to my family when he flew my son to Ga. To be there for my husband's cancer surgery. He was a giant of a man and a brother in Christ. My love and prayers for Terri,Stuart and Erin .May you know God's comfort Audrey Long

Scott was a familiar face all through our high school years at Victoria High School. He was always "up" and no surprise that he excelled in medical school. I remember he dated my sister, Sherry for a while. Some years ago, I tried to look him up... curious to see what and where life had taken him. My sister Jannie sent an email to all of us to make sure we received the news of his passing. I would like to send God's Blessings to all the family. It's indeed a great loss for our community to lose a surgeon and a person like Dr. Kacy. My sincerest sympathies and prayers for the family and loved ones.

The Beaumont medical community mourns the loss of a colleague, friend, dear relative, neighbor, teacher, and mentor. Scott was a healer to his fellow man in so many ways. He leaves a legacy of surgical skills, wit and wisdom in his practice, and concern for all with whom he came in contact, both here and abroad. Dr. Kacy made a difference in the world in his lifetime. Held in high regard by so many, he will be sorely missed. Teri and family, our hearts and souls are with you.
